FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING – Waverly Gun Club is proud to offer the Minnesota Firearm Safety training class for anyone at least 11 years old by Jan. 1, 2026. Students who complete all the requirements receive a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Firearm Safety Certificate. Registration for this class is Mon., Jan. 26 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, or until full at the Waverly Gun Club, 4465 Desoto Ave. SW Waverly. For minors, a parent or guardian must attend registration. Class size will be limited to the first 20 students. The local fee for this class is $7 and an additional fee of $7.50 will need to be paid to the MN DNR after completion of the class. Correct change or a check must be brought the night of sign-up. Class will begin Mon., Feb. 2 at 6:30 pm sharp until 8:30 pm and will continue for 9 weeks. FISH FRY-DAY NIGHT FUNDRAISER – Lake Union Church will host its Fish Fry-Day fundraiser Fri., Jan. 30 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at Lake Union Church, 74526 CSAH 19, South Haven. Adults (13+) and take-out, $15. Kids $10, (2 and under, free). Take-out available while supplies last. Join us for great food for an amazing cause! Proceeds to benefit our expanding church. 32-33c
GLENCOE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FISH FRY – Glencoe Knights of Columbus 46th annual fish fry, Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, Fri., Feb. 6, dine-in all you can eat or drive-thru from 11 am – 6:30 pm, or until fish is gone. Adults $18, 10 and under $8, drive-thru $18. Includes fish, scalloped potatoes, baked beans and coleslaw. 33-34c
HOWARD LAKE LIONS BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER – Sun, Feb. 8, from 8 am – 12:30 pm. At Howard Lake Lions Club Hall, 625 8th Street in Howard Lake. Enjoy a delicious meal of pancakes, french toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and juice and milk. Everyone is welcome to attend. Free-will donation.
